Mike Rosser (CSU ’64) and Diane Sanders (CSU ’14) co-wrote the recently published book, A History of Mortgage Banking in the West: Financing America’s Dreams (University Press of Colorado 2017).  The book began as a PLHC research project and highlights the role of finance and mortgage bankers in creating the Colorado we know today.

Rosser recently spoke about the work on on local Denver TV show, Devil’s Advocate with John Caldara. In the interview, Rosser explains why Coloradoans, especially those living in cities like Denver, should thank the bankers who were among the earliest investors in developing the state. As Rosser argues in his book, bankers and financiers should be better remembered as key players in developing the American West.
