PLHC JOB OPENINGS: SUMMER/FALL 2016
The Public Lands History Center has a position available during the summer/fall 2016. Current CSU graduate students, including incoming first-year students, as well as recent graduates of CSU are eligible to apply. The PIs for the project and the PLHC Faculty Program Manager will evaluate all applications and make final selections by April 15, 2016.

3) List of three references. If you are a second-year grad student or a recent graduate, at least one of your references must be a CSU faculty member.

Qualifications: Current students and graduates of Colorado State University are eligible to apply. Student applicants must be in good standing and making sufficient progress towards degree completion, as determined by your adviser or committee. Previous experience working for the PLHC is beneficial but not required. All applicants will be given equal consideration based on academic qualifications, work experience, experience with public history, areas of interest, professional goals, and recent references who can vouch for your capabilities, maturity, and reliability.

Project: National Wildlife Research Center Digital Images Internship

Location: Fort Collins (CSU Foothills Campus, 4101 Laporte)
Background: This project will produce a physical exhibit using National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) archival images, materials, and artifacts; an online exhibit using the same theme as the physical exhibit; and will involve the digitization of items (posters, images, and reports) for inclusion in the online exhibit. The PLHC will facilitate and train a student to complete work with NWRC oversight. Creation of the physical exhibit will include working in conjunction with the NWRC Archivist and Archives Technician to create an exhibit theme including identifying a topic and corresponding outreach materials; creating exhibit panels and text; and installing the exhibit. The creation of online exhibit using the same theme as the physical exhibit will include using ContentDM collections software to create the exhibit, and creating corresponding exhibit home page content for the APHIS/NWRC website.
