Dr. Will Wright recently won the ASEH Rachel Carson Prize for the best dissertation on environmental history. He has accepted a faculty position at Augustana College in South Dakota.

The American Society for Environmental History awarded the Rachel Carson Prize for Best Dissertation to Dr. Will Wright. Dr. Wright was the graduate fellow on PLHC’s Global Challenges Research Team, which brought scholars in ecology and history together to discuss common and divergent threads in their approach to conservation. After he graduated, Dr. Wright also served the PLHC as an editor on the Yellowstone-Mammoth Hot Springs history project. He has recently accepted a faculty position at Augustana College in South Dakota.

Dr. Mark Boxell recently accepted a faculty position at University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Dr. Mark Boxell recently accepted a faculty position at University of Nebraska-Omaha. In addition to participating in Park as Portals to Learning, Dr. Boxell was the author of a chapter in the PLHC’s report: “Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota: A Historic Resource Study” (2017).
